The Dunedin Wildlife Hospital is a world-class veterinary facility, attracting veterinary and vet nursing students from around the globe interested in fulfilling their practicum requirements with us.

Students from within New Zealand are given priority for placement slots. From time to time, we may have the capacity to place students from overseas.

Alongside our principal partner, Otago Polytechnic, our expert team delivers Level 6 and Level 7 courses in Avian Wildlife Healthcare for qualified vet nurses and veterinarians who wish to expand their knowledge of working with wild birds.

These 1-year courses are delivered online, with a week practicum in our hospital, and are suitable for professionals working full-time.
