The Dunedin Wildlife Hospital is a world-class veterinary facility, attracting veterinary and vet nursing students from around the globe interested in fulfilling their practicum requirements with us.
The Dunedin Wildlife Hospital offers opportunities for Veterinary and Veterinary Nurse Students to do 1-2 week practical placements at our hospital. We take Vet Nursing Students as well as fourth and fifth year Massey Veterinary Students. Placements are available from November to early March annually. Due to demand and our limited capacity, unfortunately we are unable to take international students for placements at this time.

As part of our partnership with Otago Polytechnic, term time is reserved for Veterinary Nursing Students studying through Otago Polytechnic. If you are an Otago Polytechnic student wanting to do a placement, please contact the Otago Polytechnic, School of Animal Health Placement Coordinator.
